Differences Between TheCorporateCounsel.net and The Corporate Counsel & The Corporate Executive

Sometimes members of our community ask us about the differences between our website - TheCorporateCounsel.net - and our print publications, The Corporate Counsel & The Corporate Executive. Although both focus on providing practical guidance, that is where the similarities end.

What is TheCorporateCounsel.net?

TheCorporateCounsel.net is a community-based website with contributions from a variety of sources, such as the panelists on our monthly webcast programs.

But there is so much more as our experienced editors work hard to add new content daily, including sample documents and extensive checklists and analysis of cutting-edge as well as long-worn issues. The best explanation of what is on our site is captured on this list of "12 Good Reasons To Try TheCorporateCounsel.net."

What is The Corporate Counsel?

For over 40 years, many like you in the corporate & securities law community have come to rely upon our practical and timely bi-monthly "one-of-a-kind" newsletter, The Corporate Counsel. The Corporate Counsel has always been unlike any other publication in the business.

Rather than rely on contributions from numerous authors on broad and general topics, The Corporate Counsel is written by practitioners that collectively have well over one hundred years of practical experience. Drawing on this vast base of knowledge, The Corporate Counsel focuses on analyzing the practical "nitty gritty" aspects of the corporate and securities law, corporate governance practices and accounting standards as they apply to your daily practice.

To see why The Corporate Counsel is considered the leader in practical guidance by the community, review this sample issue from July-August 2019.

What is The Corporate Executive?

For over 30 years, many have enjoyed our practical and unique newsletter, The Corporate Executive. Just like The Corporate Counsel, The Corporate Executive has always been unlike any other publication in the business as it is written by our experienced practitioners.

The focus of The Corporate Executive is on the practical impact of the law on corporate insiders, with a particular emphasis on executive/equity compensation. This includes extensive analysis of how the corporate, securities and tax laws - as well as the accounting standards - can help or hinder senior managers.

To see why The Corporate Executive is considered the leader in practical guidance by the community, review this sample issue from January-February 2019.

Are The Corporate Counsel & The Corporate Executive Available on TheCorporateCounsel.net?

We do offer an electronic newsletter subscription, and if you have purchased that subscription and are also a member of TheCorporateCounsel.net, you will be able to electronically access both current and past issues on TheCorporateCounsel.net in a word-searchable format. For those members who have purchased electronic access to current issues, they are located under the "Back Issues" tab on TheCorporateCounsel.net.

We also make available our 40 years of "Back Issues" of our print publications - meaning issues that are one year old or more - to anyone who subscribes to both TheCorporateCounsel.net and subscribes to the applicable print publication at each of their office locations.

In other words, if you subscribe to TheCorporateCounsel.net at each of your office locations and also subscribe to The Corporate Counsel at each of your office locations (but not The Corporate Executive), you will have access to 40-years' worth of wisdom from The Corporate Counsel - but won't have access to the back issues of The Corporate Executive. Most in our community subscribe to both print publications and TheCorporateCounsel.net at each of their locations to take advantage of this incredible resource. These are also located under the "Back Issues" tab of TheCorporateCounsel.net and are searchable.
