Standing up a newly public company is an exciting opportunity - but also full of challenges. Even if you have years of corporate governance and SEC disclosure experience, going through the IPO and creating processes from scratch can be overwhelming. Whether you're looking to join a soon-to-be-public company - or if you're outside counsel who wants to be able to provide your clients with practical advice during a critical time - join us for a playbook and "lessons learned" from people who've successfully managed this process:

  • David Bell, Partner & Corporate Governance Group Co-Chair, Fenwick
  • Jared Brandman, SVP, General Counsel & Secretary, National Vision
  • Courtney Kamlet, Associate General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Vontier
  • Trâm Phi, SVP & General Counsel, DocuSign

This program will cover:

  • Identifying responsibilities
  • Setting cost expectations
  • Engaging vendors
  • Setting timetables
  • Establishing director relationships & expectations
  • Determining your disclosure style
  • Training staff
  • How outside counsel can help
